About this milk
Milk the way it used to taste
Hamba milk comes only from Gir and Sahiwal cows, two of India's oldest native breeds, which naturally give milk with A2 beta-casein. We never blend in milk from crossbred or exotic cows, and we never add powder, water or preservatives.
It is full cream and not homogenised, so it tastes rich and slightly sweet, and leaves a thick layer of malai when boiled. Make your morning chai with it, set it into dahi, or give a glass to the kids.
Why we bottle it in glass
Glass is inert, so the milk picks up no plastic taste or smell. It stays cold longer on your doorstep, and each bottle is collected, washed, sterilised and refilled, so it goes round again and again.

Storage & use
Getting the best from your bottle
Refrigerate on arrival
Into the fridge as soon as it arrives, at 4°C or below.
Boil gently
Bring to a slow boil and stir now and then. Let the malai set.
Use within 48 hours
Fresh milk with no preservatives, so finish it within two days.
Return the bottle
Rinse with cold water, cap it and keep it out for collection.

How much does Hamba A2 milk cost?
500 ml: ₹60 · 750 ml: ₹85 · 1 L: ₹110. Prices include all taxes. The 1 L bottle is the best value per litre.
Do I need to boil Hamba milk?
We recommend bringing it to a boil before drinking, as most Indian homes do. Boil gently, stirring now and then, and you will see a thick layer of malai form as it cools.
How long does the milk stay fresh?
Keep the bottle in the fridge at or below 4°C as soon as it arrives. Use it within 48 hours and before the date on the cap. After opening, keep the cap on and the bottle away from strong-smelling foods.
Why does the cream rise to the top?
Because Hamba milk is full cream and not homogenised, the natural fat rises and settles as a cream line at the neck of the bottle. Give it a gentle swirl before pouring. It is a sign of real, unprocessed milk.
Can I get milk delivered every day?
Yes. Subscribe in the Haaat app and choose daily or alternate days. You can change quantity, skip a day or pause from the calendar before the 10 PM cut-off.
Is A2 milk the same as organic milk?
No, they mean different things. A2 is about the cow's breed and the protein in her milk. Organic is a separate certification about farming inputs. We describe Hamba milk as A2 desi cow milk, and we will only call it organic once it is certified.
